One of the best geraniums for constant blooms throughout the summer from May to September Geranium Rozanne is in almost constant bloom , after it’s first flush it benefits from a trim to encourage it to keep on flowering. Slug proof, rabbit proof and easy to grow.

PRIMULA Wilsonii
Primula Wilsonii has rich ,dark red flowers that first appear in May, if we have a warm late summer they will have a second flush in August. Happiest in average to damp, well drained soil in sun or semi shade. Primula Wilsonii is evergreen so it doesn't get lost in the border over winter! and has aromatic roots and leaves, it forms a good clump that can be divided after flowering. It is in my opinion one of the classiest primulas!

Schizostylus coccinea ‘major’
Schizostylis coccinea 'Major' brings a burst of colour late in the season when everything else is thinking of of going to bed for the Winter! It is happy in average growing conditions but doesn't like to dry out too much in the Summer, but neither does it like too much wet in the Winter, this makes it sound as if it's fussy but it's really a very easy plant that grows well here in Wales even with our somewhat soggy Winters. It will form a good sized clump eventually at least 60cms or more wide that can be divided preferably in Spring , although I have divided Schizostylis all through the seasons and it's never let me down.

Thalictrum Rochebrunianum
Thalictrum rochebrunianum has strong, dark purple stems that that hold delicate mauve flowers with cream stamens high over it's sage green Aquilegia like foliage. The stems are strong and no staking is required, the flowers almost appear to float especially in the shade where the dark stems seem to disappear as the get thinner near the blooms .Thalictrum rochebrunianum is happy in shade but will grow in sun as long as it doesn't dry out.

Iris Ensata ‘Queen’s tiara’
Iris Ensata 'Queens tiara' likes a real soggy place to grow, at the edge of a pond or stream would be it's first choice, but it will perform well in the border as long as it doesn't dry out . Full sun will give you the best flowers, and a nice clump will have built up within 3yrs.
