Schizostylus coccinea ‘major’
Schizostylis coccinea ‘Major’ brings a burst of colour late in the season when everything else is thinking of of going to bed for the Winter! It is happy in average growing conditions but doesn’t like to dry out too much in the Summer, but neither does it like too much wet in the Winter, this makes it sound as if it’s fussy but it’s really a very easy plant that grows well here in Wales even with our somewhat soggy Winters. It will form a good sized clump eventually at least 60cms or more wide that can be divided preferably in Spring , although I have divided Schizostylis all through the seasons and it’s never let me down.
Plants are supplied – bare root Oct – March . 9cm pot – March onwards.
